Thru-Hole Load Cells

Naturally, our thru-hole load cells were given that name for their functionality – that is, they are passive devices that allow load structures to essentially “pass through” the load cell itself. These serve a number of purposes across many industries, including harsher environments such as oil fields.

Series CTH932 – Pump Off Control Polished Rod Load Cell
These 0.25% accuracy load cells are designed specifically for the polished rod of an oilfield pump, and have transient voltage protection for lighting and/or power line surges.

Other features of the Series CTH932 include:

  • Standard full-scale capacities range from 20,000 lbf. to 80,000 lbf.
  • Removable sealed cover for cable replacement
  • Fatigue life of 50,000,000 cycles (and 150% overload without damage)
  • Shock and vibration rated during the manufacturing process
  • Operating temperature of -40°F to 180°F

Optional features include special load ranges, special multipoint calibrations, customer-specific configurations and cable lengths, high-level outputs (analog and digital), and much more. Series DTH920 – Thru-Hole Load Cell
Designed with a clear center hole for applications requiring a load structure to pass through the load cell, the Series DTH920 force transducer can be used to measure either tension or compression. These “donut-style” bonded foil strain gage forced sensors are compact and constructed of welded stainless steel, making them reliable products for a wide range of demanding applications.

  • Low profile
  • 2 mV/V
  • -65°F to 250°F standard temperature
  • 5-point calibration record traceable to NIST
