The Stellar Technology hammer union pressure transducer is ideal for a wide variety of drilling and well servicing applications. The pressure transducer’s all-welded construction ensures there are no fastener failures. The one-piece Inconel male sub and pressure sensing diaphragm will withstand the sour gas environments encountered in many well servicing applications. A proprietary diaphragm is designed for high-cycle applications.
Since field failure is often cause by the failure of the electrical receptacle, Stellar Technology hammer union pressure transducers incorporate an extra rugged bolt-on receptacle with proprietary shell. Customers can also specify hermetic welded electrical receptacles or their own preferred type of electrical connection. A larger housing diameter makes it easier to connect/disconnect cable assemblies.
Each hammer union pressure transducer is manufactured with special processes to enhance shock and vibration immunity which are characteristics that are vital for today’s well servicing environments. Special design features are included to counteract the possible effects of EMI and RFI interference. Additional design features include four equally-spaced drain-holes around the connector base to ensure moisture does not build up around the electrical receptacle. A flexible vinyl-covered standard steel carrying handle, allows the 1502 nut to be installed without removing the handle. The Stellar Technology 1502 hammer union pressure transducer has a static accuracy of 0.2% of full scale output (BFSL) and comes in standard ranges of 5000 psi, 6000 psi, 7500 psi, 10,000 psi, and 15,000 psi. Special calibrations to 20,000 psi are also available.
All Stellar Technology 1502, 2-inch, hammer union pressure transmitters are ATEX and/or CSA-certified intrinsically safe with 4-20 mA output.
