Stand-alone signal conditioners are used to deliver excitation to a sensor, powering the strain gauges and sending the output signal in the form of an analog 4-20 mA or voltage signal to a display or data acquisition system,. A signal conditioner housing design that is easily mounted on a standard DIN-rail is a convenient way to manage and control the electronic characteristics of a sensor.

DIN-rail Signal Conditioners

A DIN-rail mounted signal conditioner can be conveniently located away from the sensing environment, making the excitation, coarse gain, and screw terminal connections for power, analog output, shunt, and sensor signals easy to access.

As a single channel DC amplifier, the AP5101 Series was designed to provide variable signal conditioning and excitation for our load cells, pressure transducers, strain gaged, mV/V, , force sensors, torque sensors and LVDTs. The AP5101 provides up to output of 10V or 4-20 mA coupled with transducer signals that range between 10 mV to 10V. This amplifier accepts unipolar and bipolar input signals alike, allowing it to produce corresponding voltage outputs for both types of signals. The AP5101 makes use of a converter (DC-DC) converter to ascertain that the supply can be isolated electrically from the output of the unit.

The AP5103 Series is user friendly, low-cost and general-purpose. This single channel conditioner was designed to handle the input of weight, torque, pressure, force and all the other variables that are typically measured by strain gauge transducers that are standard DC-excited. This model is known for providing a high level of accuracy and signal stability over many different types of sensor inputs. Users can choose a low-pass active filter when it comes to eliminating unwanted measurement-signal components of high frequency. This DIN-rail signal conditioner provides an analog output of ±10Vdc, ±5Vdc, or 4-20 mA, and it is up to the user to select.
