Pancake Load Cells

All Stellar Technology pancake load cells incorporate bonded foil strain gage technology to ensure reliability for demanding environments, stability for higher temperature applications, and design flexibility. Each pancake load cell incorporates a dual diaphragm design which provides excellent off-axis performance.

To meet the complex variety of customer requirements, Stellar Technology provides an array of pancake load cells, constructed of all welded stainless steel, 4130, or aluminum.

Pancake load cells designed for tension and compression applications have a threaded thru-hole with standard thread configurations and mounting holes to accommodate standard bolt diameters.

Customers can also specify metric threads or special threads and mounting holes consistent with applications specific safety factors. These same load cells can be calibrated for tension-only application or provided with a load button accessory for compression-only applications.

Load cell static accuracies range from 0.03% of full scale output to 0.10% of full scale output. The standard electrical output for our pancake load cells is mV/V. Nearly all of these pancake load cells can be specified with high level analog voltage, analog current, or digital outputs.

High level output load cells have an internal signal conditioner with proprietary electronics.

All units, whether mV/V or amplified output, are designed with standard electrical receptacles (PTIH-10-6P, MS3102-14S-6P, MIL-C-5015). Customer-specified electrical terminations can be applied to each of these units.

Each pancake load cell is shipped with a comprehensive calibration record with a minimum of 11 calibration references for linearity, hysteresis, repeatability, and temperature.
